Fund the police. Concepts like “defund the police” are one of the many issues that have turned the National Democratic Party into “a circular firing squad”. I have led or supported the last four Billings mill levies for our police department. Our chief understands the need for professional training and professional standards. He also needs more cops. As a former chairman of the Montana Board of Crime Control, I think the U.S. Congress needs to provide more assistance to law enforcement.
