No More Contracting With Reputed Systemic Child Abusers

No More Contracting With Reputed Systemic Child Abusers

What problem does it solve? I just read again about the Boy Scouts "Perversion Files" and thought of those poor kids. News sources repeatedly report about prominent organizations such as the Catholic Church and Boy Scouts and their long histories of employing child abusers. The groups then commit further crimes with their systematic cover up. NJ does business with some of these organizations thus placing vulnerable children in deeper harm's way. This was hard to write but we need to stand up for the children. What is your solution and who does it apply to? The State of New Jersey should not contract with agencies that have known long histories of child abuse and institutionalized concealment of these crimes. What is the anticipated impact? Vulnerable children will be safer.
